Hello all,
In my never ending search to find the perfect diamond I have come across a couple that maybe suitable. Basically I am looking for an H, excellent cut, eye clean round brilliant diamond that will sparkle and like no other. Given these requirements, I would like get to as big as a possible staying around 11k. I have not been doing this for very long so I always appreciate your input. Will these be eye clean?

Thanks!

I think it's difficult to say. Much of it will depend on how sensitive you are to inclusions, how you view the stone (distance, angle lighting), how you plan to set the stone, and your particular definition of eye clean. The first stone appears to have inclusions that could at least partially be hidden by prongs. The second has twining wisps that I think my be detectable at certain viewing angles. But the gemologist will be in a much better position to determine this for you. I would recommend sharing what your definition of eye clean is....face up from 12 inches? 6 inches? from the top AND sides from X distance. There is no industry standard of eye clean and therefore is quite subjective, so sharing YOUR thoughts on the matter is greatly beneficial.

Whiteflash has some nice ones

I ran the HCA tool on both of your stones - https://www.pricescope.com/tools/hca - this is a tool of elimination - basically any score below 2 (Excellent) eliminates known poor performers.

The 1.44ct H-SI1 scored a 1.4 (Excellent) total score, with Excellents for Light Return, Fire, and Scintillation; and Very Good for Spread.

The 1.40ct H-SI1 scored a 4.0 (Good - Only if price is your main criteria) total score, with Goods for Light Return, Fire, and Scintillation; and Very Good for Spread.

If I were you, I'd toss the 2nd stone, keep the 1st stone as a solid candidate and ask JA to put it on hold while they check for whether it is eyeclean to your preference.

OH, and I checked Brian Gavin Diamond and WhiteFlash real quick, and they had nothing within your budget and color/carat weight preference... you'd have to go to I-color and then I think both vendors had some nice signature stones within your budget.

I guess my definition of eye clean would be for my future fiance to not see an inclusion under normal viewing circumstances, top down or from an angle at any distance. Is this being too broad? I feel like James Allen right now does not have too much to pick from given my requirements, so I began looking at Blue Nile, which has the obvious huge disadvantage of not being able to see the stones... So, I increased the requirements on there to a VS2. Is this a safe bet? For example:

or

Sorry if these questions seem silly, I am just trying my best to get that perfect diamond.

Thanks a lot.
