Is this type of varying girdle thickness a problem on an emerald?

Extremely thin to thick sounds like a big range on the same stone?

it could be that just a very small spot on the girdle is ex. thin. if this is a stone that you are seriously considering, you should have it further evaluated.

e-thin id rather just avoid it entirely.
in theory if its just a small spot its not a problem and if it was v-thin and small id say no problem but e-thin worries me.

Usually the girdles on E/C diamonds are made of one elogated facet that should run at a 90 degree angle to the table...

E. thin to ....., means that on of eight girdles is ex. thin, it would be a soft spot on a diamond, but it doesnt mean it is no-good!!!
