Looking at a stone online and they sent me the cert. The stone according to the inclusion shown on GIA cert appears to be clean. I've been in the market for an SI1 and I've never seen one like this where the there are no markings on the cert. In the comments section: additional clouds not shown, and surface graining is not shown. However, the Keys to symbol has Feather, Crystal, Cloud, Needle, "Extra Facet".
This was odd, so I asked another provider to send me another copy of the cert to make sure there was no funny business. Cert came and is also clean...
What is an "extra facet" an even if the stone is clean does it automatically put it in the SI range. Also, what is a needle?
