+1. Rose cuts are flat at the bottom and will window (unless backed by metal) while french cuts have pavillion facets. The french cuts we''ve cut so far are surprisingly vibrant, lively, colorful and bright. We will be cutting a 1ct princess (likely candidate, still evaluating our options) into a french cut and I''ll let you know how that goes. Should be better than a rose cut. A rose cut has a flat bottom, not going to have as good a performance unless a mirror is place beneath that.
