Hi everyone,

Update on my scam is that the manager of Christian Berarnd refused to give me a full refund and wants me to pay for the ring. Anyway, as bas as that has been, you have all been great and I found a diamond I might actually love, but I need expert opinions on the diamond and see if anyone can give me info on the light return (white light, color light, and scintillation) because the company I''m working with doesn''t have access to a BrillianceScope. THanks much!

Shape: Princess
Weight: 1.02 carat
Width: 5.47 mm
Length: 5.49 mm
L/W ratio: 1.00
Total Depth: 3.94 mm 72%
Pavil. Depth: 3.13 mm 57.2%
Pavil Ang: 61.8
Crown height: .60 mm 11%
Crown Ang: 41.3
Table Size: 3.91 mm 71.5%
Girdle: .16 mm 2.9%

Color: G
Clarity: VS2
Flourescence: none

I don't believe it's possible to give you any info on light return with just numbers.

It could be quite nice. Forget the tests, use your eye which is the ultimate analysis!

Hi dsong,

Actually the numbers on this diamond look quite promising. If I were performing a search this would be a diamond I would consider worthy of calling in for further exam. It is however *impossible* to tell you exactly how the B'scope results would be since the B'scope is sensitive to every slight nuance in how a diamond reflects back light within the stone. Perhaps you may want to consider sending it to Consumers Gem Lab for a BrillianceScope analysis. If I were a consumer that's what I would do to get the skinny on it.

I LOVE it! The numbers look very good. I think you found yourself a winner! It will look beautiful in the platinum setting you purchased! Congrats!

Thanks everyone for your help. I'm considering getting an F color. What kind of difference is there b/w a G and an F if the cuts are similar like the one I found? Thanks! And I'll post the ideal scope pics as soon as I get them!

very little

Stones that are next to each other in color don't show much of a difference, especially when face up. In my own experience, when the stones are face up I can't tell much of a difference between an I and a G, a D and an F (in other words, stones in the same color category) when both stones are well cut.

At any rate, please post the specs on the other stone you're considering so we can compare cuts!

I look forward to seeing your ideal scope images!!!
