Hi all,

We went to a local B&M store today looking at stones this afternoon, and thought we''d sit on it and solicit pricescope opinions before making any drastic moves (like a purchase!

Here''s the info.

IGI Cert (New York 10/10/2002 cert # 0100202)

carat: 1.61
color: I
clarity: VS2
Polish/ Symmetry: good/ very good
girdle: thin to medium, faceted

total depth percentage: 58.4%
table diameter percentage: 61%
crown height percentage: 12%
pavilion depth percentage: 42.6%
culet: none

Price: $11,420

I ran this through the HCA, and it scored a 2.4. Definitely not stellar, but I thought it was worthwhile to solicit other opinions.

Thoughts? Rich- can you run this through the DiamondCalc?

mucho gracias.

$3200 overpriced compared to online.

How about this one for about the same price:
Larger and h&a would need to verify that its eye clean.

I agree with diamond4sale comment. You are paying a bit too much for that kind of a stone.

As you've probably learned by hanging out at PS, cut is the most important of the 4 C's, so focus on getting the best cut diamond you can afford.
