If you click on the link posted below you will see the diamond that i currently have on hold. The vendor just received this diamond and is currently working on getting me photos and other reports. I will post as soon as i receive. Can i get some expert help as far as if there is anything i should be concerned about or need to confirm before i make the purchase. I really appreciate all help

This diamond will be set in Bgd knife edge 6 prong Tiffany style setting in Platinum.

This is my first large diamond purchase . I have spent months and months doing research and i think i have covered most of the basics. I just want to make sure I'm not overlooking anything that i should be looking at. Thanks to everyone.

Hey usa,
Nothing to worry about. Its an AGS000 and a BGD signature stone. That pretty much means its already passed a lot of
hurdles and should be a beautiful stone. The only thing that I can think of to ask is whether its eye-clean from the
side. May not be an issue for you but just something you may want to know before hand. Looks like its a little cloud
so I doubt its visible.

That stone is perfection, its a BGD signature and a total winner!

I had a BGD knife edge setting in the past and it was a bit too knifey, I would just ask them to smooth the knife edge so its more subtle. This way it will be more comfortable to wear. It will look amazing!!

Hello and thanks for your reply. I am currently working with Denise on this. I asked if the stone was eye clean and she stated all the BGD Signature diamonds are super ideal and all are eye clean. I'm assuming this is true

Thanks for reply. If i may ask, what do you mean by smooth the knife edge down?? On the inside of the band? Will this affect look of band?

Thanks

yes, it will affect it, the knife edge is on the outside, where two sides of the bevel come together to an edge. I would only smooth it if the wearer has a problem, not beforehand.

Wonderful diamond! I wear a Tiffany knife-edge ring and the key thing to remember is that once a wedding band of similar band height is sitting next to the e-ring, you won't really feel the e-ring shank anymore. So I would not touch it, either, until she has a wedding band. Mine is no problem at all.

Thanks very much, ive heard some people have issues and some don't, i was thinking the same and not to mess with it unless she has issue

Thank you very much. I'm hoping to have more info and reports on diamond soon. I'm going to ask to make sure diamond is eye clean

Just put diamond dimensions in hca and it scored .5

Also below is the Lab Report and you can see small feather and cloud to the left center . I will ask again if the diamond is eye clean but Denise says all of the Hearts & Arrows Signature are eye clean which is the first i have heard.

Woah, lovely IS. Absolutely no issues with light performance and I would leave the knife edge setting as is.

Thank you very much. Im sorry for all the questions, just really want this to be right and dont want to make any mistakes, i know BGD signature are some of the best you can get but i just want to cover all the steps. Thanks

Ok, so the Sarin report has been posted on this diamond. While waiting for ideal scope image and sarin report i noticed that on the actual photo of the diamond there are spots of yellow. If you look closely you will see this. What is this? I would assume is from the flash of camera ??? Does anyone have any idea ? I never noticed this at first but now im a little concerned but could be freaking myself out. Anyone see what im seeing. Thanks

I see the yellow you are referring to, and it looks like it's reflecting something that's in front of it. I wouldn't worry.

Im pretty sure its just a reflection but just made me nervous for a minute. The only other thing that im a little worried about is the cloud / feathering in the center left portion of the diamond. It almost looks like you can see it in the actual photo of the diamond under the microscope.

How can i be assured that the diamond is eye clean. Denise told me all of the BGD signature stones are eye clean. I dont want to be rude and ask to have someone else look at the diamond but i also want to be 100% sure the diamond is eye clean from top & side. Im sorry to be such a pain but i just want this to be perfect. Thanks to all and i will keep everyone posted once this entire process is over. Thanks
