Does anyone have experiance with this company? We are looking at stones on their site. It looks as if they have nice stuff. Let me know!

I had a great experience with Abazias! I purchased a round .83 G VS1 from them that was an unbranded hearts & arrows stone. Their prices are reasonable and diamond quality is the very best!

I've noticed that their prices are the lowest on the net. But there are OTHER charges here that you have to consider. First of all, they don't carry any inventory themselves (someone correct me if I am wrong) and so any comments they make regarding the quality of the stone are based on the Cert data. Also, since many of their stones are at wholesalers, YOU have to pay upwards of $100 (it may be $150.. I don't recall now) to get them shipped to you. This is different from many other vendors here. If you want the stone sent to an appraiser BEFORE you buy and then you decide you don't want it.. well you are out the appraiser fee plus the shipping charge times 2 (for a total of ~$400) because it will then be sent back to the wholesaler in Israel or somewhere else abroad. This was enough to deter me from purchasing through them because I wanted to know exactly what my diamond was going to look like (ie light return images or other analysis above and beyond just a cert and sarin data). But from what people have been posting, they are generally happy with their purchases there. Hope this helps!

I would like to clarify our shipping charges. Most of our diamonds are in the U.S.A. and the shipping fee (including insurance) is $35 or $45. Occasionally, if the stone desired is out of the country, then shipping and insurance is $100. Also, if the diamond is not in our posession, our diamond specialists that are holding the stones are able to give descriptions and details on any of our stones.

Thank you!

If you do happen to see a diamond listed that you are interested in, the vendor will tell you if the diamond is not physically in the US. I found one on the list I was interested in, and the vendor told me it was in another country. In that case, if I didn't purchase the diamond, the round trip shipping charges would be $200. Candace was upfront with you about the $100 and Abazia's would tell you when a diamond is not physically in the US.

I don't have personal experience with Abazia's. I would suggest you use the search function of the forum and enter their name. You will find threads with other people comments about them.

Good luck in your search.

Yes, we ended up purchasing from Abazias and we only had to pay the 35 dollar shipping charge.
If you go to the Abazias web site, it does mention that a very small percentage of their stones are out of country, and the shipping charge is more than the normal 35 - 45 charge. They were up front with the shipping charges and were great to work with. Not to mention that the stone they got for us is gorgeous and very brilliant for a princess - I get compliments continually!

But, if the stone you chose does cost 100 bucks for shipping, I still think that the money you save on the actual stone and in taxes make it worthwhile.
My 2 cents, anyway....
