Evaluating jadeite (feicui)

Now I am excited that you like it Crimson! Good points--for some reason I was thinking GIA would evaluate the ring as a whole on the same report.
Here is some video. I don't think it glows.

Ooh, it looks clean! Since it is white, it should ideally not have any black spots or inclusions. So far, I seem to see only a couple of small ones in the video. I’m not even sure whether they are inclusions or some artefact .
Do you know whether it has a closed or an open back?
Is the price negotiable, and can you return it if you don’t like it?

There are no pictures of the back of the but I will see if I can ask if it is open or closed.
The price may be negotiable. I would certainly try.
Yes, I can definitely return it I I don't like it.

Guess what, guess what, guess what? I offered 4k and they accepted!! so the ring is on its way to me and we will see!!

Omg squeeeeeeeee

Cannot wait to see it!!!!!! Absolutely cannot tell if it will glow from a few pics but I hope it will glow for you. It’s beautiful

Also re testing: They test ONE of my beads only in every necklace I’ve ever bought. Random bead so you just have the pray the rest are all authentic

Thanks!!! I cannot wait to see it either! It will be my very first piece of jadeite!!
They did not test any of the beads, so I hope they are of good quality.

Very excited to see your ring @Odyssey44

I’m thinking… perhaps we should start a “Show me your jadeite” thread? And keep this one for evaluation purposes?

The pearls were very lustrous, pinkish and near round. My friend’s put them on immediately :kiss2:
Her earrings are turquoise. Very pretty. If she didn’t buy them, I might have.
Another friend just went in and bought the Santa Maria aquamarine earrings that he posted today. The Crimson jewellery friends’ club is real :mrgreen2: Now helping another friend get earrings from Wriston, LOL.
On a separate note, I did something terrible! I bought the giant ring that I posted earlier.
It is about 20-21mm in diameter, 6.5 mm thick. I think it could be a good friend for your heart ring?IMG_0120.jpegIMG_0119.jpeg

Your ring is amazing and stunning. Looks like candy! Thank you for sharing this one of a kind ring.

Thanks Pomelo. I'm happy to post however people would like. This thread has been such a help to me and I love how it feels we are shopping together!

Wowww! So excited for you, and glad you got a much better price than posted. :appl:

Thanks, @Pomelo. Maybe we should rename this Everything Jadeite - one stop for learning. PSers’ jewellery and intended buys (for feedback), and updates. I am not sure if jadeite has the same following as diamonds. I think it might still be a niche topic here so a one-stop service might be more helpful.
To me, the examples posted here are very educational! It might also be strange to have evaluation separate from examples :eek2:, but anyone is free to start a new thread.

Glad you like it, @LightBright. I love one of a kind items.
Another jeweller who saw it told me it is a philosophical design,. He said it reminded him of the Chinese idiom 时来运转 (when the time comes, luck will turn for the better). When I searched for the idiom, I found that Piaget had used it to describe its Possession spinning rings.
