What do people think?

Looks red to me. What is the question?

If it were natural, it would be insane. I don't know how hard it is to make one in the "lab."

sometimes a lot of diamonds that look red to me get graded pink. So am curious what others think. Are there a whole bunch of red lgd? Maybe I haven’t seen them

For a diamond or LGD/MMD, it would be considered as vivid red, and it would cost a fortune had it been a earth-mined diamond!

However, had it been a coloured stone, I doubt if anyone would consider that as a vivid red, more likely to be a brown red to me personally, and not a colour that I like.

DK :))

There’s something about the sellers icon in the lower left-hand corner that raises a red flag to me. I’ve seen it before either on eBay or Etsy, I just can’t remember where but I would suggest looking up the feedback from other buyers and maybe try to find that listing somewhere else by doing a reverse Google search on his images. I also think that particular stone would appear more pink than red because the color saturation blotches on the image at first glance look off. Just my opinion.

Looks brown to me- I’d be concerned and ask for a video in different lightings. Images are easy to manipulate so it’s hard to judge IMO.

The image also is not too crisp so the facets don’t look clear enough to really see well IMO but I get the impression that it’s a little “mushy”…

Do you mean the brown/yellow circular logo? I think it's the video software's watermark. It's used quite widely. Can't recall the name.

It's a nice colour and I would say red over pink, but certainly not a true red. I'd love to see these stones in real life but I think I'd rather save my money for a nice, better cut garnet or spinel. It's the qualities of a diamond that attract me to a diamond and I'm not sure if a deep colour detracts from that?

Red…..but you can’t even see the facets.

Thanks… I wasn’t thinking of buying but it seemed different than other LGD. Thought I would post it for discussion since there are some sciency threads active right now. Maybe it’s a coating?

Without a doubt, Lab Grown Diamonds have caused many of us to accept terminology and grades we would not accept in Earth Mined Diamonds....
