This probably falls under the dumb questions category but I''m about to order save the dates and I''m hung up on this. Whose name and address is traditionally used for the return address on save the dates?

I just looked at some wedding invites that I''ve saved and the bride''s parents'' address is printed on the back of the envelope but with no name at all. But the parents'' names are on the wedding invites vs. save the dates with no parents'' names on them. Does that matter?

Sooo.... Mr. Dad A. Lastname? Mr. and Mrs. Dad A. Lastname? Mom and Dad Lastname? No name at all and address only?

Yes, I know I''m being picky, but please help! Thanks!

We put our names with my parents'' address, but not due to tradition or etiquette - ONLY because we live in a non-doorman building and don''t want people to send gifts to us, whereas my parents have a house and there''s almost always someone home to accept packages.

I''m not sure how it''s "supposed" to be done, though - sorry!

I think whoever is hosting usually puts their address...we just put our own.

We put our own as well, I actually did both of our names on the return address - it was a little long for a smaller envelope but whatever!

FI and I live together and we used our address but no names.

whomever is hosting gets their name on the card...

I always like

Dr. and Mrs. J and S Lastname

My parents' address is embossed on the back. I just their first and last names only, like "Sonny and Cher Bono." Since it wasn't as formal, I didn't use titles. On the invitation, it will say "Mr. Sonny and Mrs. Cher Bono."

ETA: Important to note, my parents are hosting.

Thanks everyone for your input! I decided to go with Mr. and Mrs. Dadsfirstname A. Lastname. My parents are hosting so that would make sense. It''s further complicated by the fact that they''re both Dr.s, one MD and one PhD, but I won''t go into that!

It''s amazing the little details we (I?) get caught up in during wedding planning!!

lovepsarklies! I have one MD and on PhD parent as well!! I haven''t even started to think about invitation wording yet, but it''s going to be a little tricky...
