So I have a light yellow U-V OEC/early brilliant diamond ring and have been looking for an OEC eternity band to go with it. My original wedding ring is long outgrown (my hands have swelled), and is nice to have some sort of wedding band. I wanted something white to contrast with the yellow of the main diamond (the main diamond also sometimes looks light green). I also have a ruby eternity purchased from a PSer I wear as a wedding band in the winter, but it does not fit me in the summer as my hands swell more

I think I found an eternity that suits, but it is still in the return period. Just checking in with you all to see if the one I got is a keeper. The diamonds were described as OEC but I am not sure they are. Probably some of them are OEC and perhaps some are transitional? Maybe you folks can tell. It was described to me as platinum and from 1920's, with 18 small diamonds adding up to 1.4 carats. I think that may be an over-estimate on diamond weight, but on the other hand anything thicker would be uncomfortable for me.

Thanks for your expertise!

I think a plain or engraved unplated 18k white gold band would look stunning, or if you really want to play up the yellow, pair it with a yellow sapphire eternity band from Blue Nile. I love the rings separately, but don't love them together for some reason. I think the band is a bit too thick and doesn't fully show off your magnificent diamond.

First of all, I am absolutely in love with your E-ring! I love the engraved band, and the contrasting metals, and especially the yellow/green center stone!

Unfortunately, I agree with Elliot - I don't think this particular eternity band compliments your e-ring well. Have you seen the Erica Winters eternity rings? I know they're not as blingy as this band, but I think some of them might go with very nicely. http://www.erikawinters.com/Wedding-Bands-collection.html And - I know "matchy matchy" tends to be frowned on here, but I think an engraved band with small inset stones would look very nice with your e-ring also.

Well VRBeauty, I love Erika Winter's bands but somehow I think they are going to cost significantly more than the $800 I paid for the platinum one here. Anyone want to trade?

Btw: I actually have a winged lion silver ring for sale on LT in silver and gold. My hands swelled too much and I never really got to wear it.

I think you would all approve of the the thin ruby eternity I have been wearing... unfortunately this is not an option for summer. I do home the swelling goes down again in the Fall.

Love all three of your rings, but I agree with the others that they are prettier separately. Sometimes it takes a few tries to match an ering with a wedding band. That's my personal experience.
Am on my phone and can't see the diamonds well, not that I am an expert anyway.

I also agree that while the rings are lovely, they don't compliment each other and therefore, not the best match.

I think they look great together and don't think they have to match at all! If you love the ring, keep it. I think it is a ring you could pair with a lot of things throughout your life. I don't see a downside and I think you got a great price. For me, it would be a keeper!

I think the band looks nice with your ering and if you like how it looks, wear it and enjoy it!
