Eternity Band Value - Help Needed

Hi All,

I've been shopping around for a while for an eternity band and have found a used one at a local auction, I would really like it as its my size and would go great with my Emerald Cut solitaire

Here are are the stats:

size 7 Eternity Band
Platinum 2.1-2.4CT baguettes
Color G-H
VS2

What is the max price I should offer? I will pay a reasonable price, I just don't want to pay retail. This is a used item. There is also an auction fee that is a % of the final price I'll need to account for, but I'll do that math, I just want peoples gut feeling of its value.

What do you think? I need the pricescopers' wisdom.

It would be really hard to guess value when the brand is unknown, and whether or not those specs are accurate is unknown.

Does it look like these? If so, I wouldn't bid more than half the cost of a new item, but these are F-G VVS-VS so I would go less than half.

baguette bands fetch a premium even used. baguettes are more expensive than rounds per carat. Around 2=2,500k would be my maximum though.

Yes it is channel set, its not branded, used, from an estate.

I'm checking to see the return policy, I'll want to get it checked out by a third party to verify the specs.

Hi,

Auctions do not allow returns, even if they item is not as described. You are supposed to do all the verifying before hand.
The auction house is just the go between between seller and buyer with no responsibility for value or authenticity.

This is a case of buyer beware. It is why you have time to view items days and weeks before the auction.
