When my ring was made I thought the baguettes were a bit TOO LONG for the proportion of the ring and stone. Now after wearing it for years I am used to the setting. I am thinking and eternity band in place of the plain wedding band will enhance the whole look. Question - the center stone is 2.75 ct, ring size is 5 1/2....what should the TOTAL CARAT WEIGHT be for the eternity band?

are you looking for round stones in this eternity band? if so, I wouldn''t focus so much on the TOTAL weight but more on the pointers or each carat weight of the melees to get your overall look, ctw will vary according to your ring size and someone else''s ring size. I think your ring is GORGEOUS by the way! and looks very substantial on its own. Have you been around to your local B&M to try some on for size? even half eternity can give you an idea of what looks the best with your ring.

Love your ering, it''s gorgeous. My center stone is 2.36 and am wearing an eternity band that is 3.18 TCW. I wanted a blingy look. It all depends what look you want. I agree go and try some on. See what you like. Shared prong, bead set, channel set with all different carat weights. For a ring your size I''d go with 10 pointers, but that''s just me.
Have fun looking around...

Check out www.thefacetscollection.com That''s where I bought mine, actually I have a few from them... They are like potato chips...
