eternity band question: what is 3 pointer?

when people say 3 pointer, what does it mean? what kind of setting are they talking about? i just know there is channel, shared prong, bar-set, milgrain, box set..thanks!

It's a shared prong eternity band. 3 pointers, .75ctw.

oh thanks! i think i read in another post that your engagement ring is like .8 carat or something? at first I thought it's 1.5 or something from the picture hehe
