Eternity band in design development. Feedback needed.

Which do you think makes for a more interesting and dramatic look?


1) .25carat round brilliants set in platinum milgrained hexagonal (6 sides...) bezels with the flat side abutting flush to create the continuous eternity band (that the points face up and down)
2).25 carat round brilliant set in milgrained octagonal (eight sides...) bezels with the sides abutting to create the eternity band (the band would have little indents at each corner)

The picture attached is the basic idea but the "boxes" that would hold the round stones would be either hex or oct shaped.

Above was mess up... forgot the diameter of the ring. That is for a 28mm ring. :p

Here is the more proportioned one, 14mm with 3mm stone, around 1o pointers. Do you need the hexagonal set too? With .25c the minimum ring width will be around 4.5mm.

Ok, this is using the 23pointers, 4mm diameter stone, 11 stones total for a 14mm dia ring.

BGray, I vote for the octagonal version: I much prefer the flat edges at the top and bottom of the band ....

Definiitly octagon shape. I dont like how the points stick out on the hex ring.

bgray, I think it'll look fabulous with milgrain around the bezels! I too like the 8-sided best.

My ering is a D and my 5 stone that I wear with it are F/G (uncert). I can tell a difference in the color but I think its only from
staring at it a lot. I dont think anyone else can.

You should be able to go with a G at that size.

If it were me I would probably go with EF to be on the safe side with an EC.

It will all contrast a fair bit. Can you post a picture of your EC ring? That would help.

I like the octagon.

This ring is NOT mine but mine is very very similar. The only difference is that my side stones are a little bigger and fatter and my center stone is a little narrower. (my center is 5 carats and the sides are 1/2 carat each)

I like the octs with rounds but I see what you are saying about the hex and the points of the kites. Thats
going to have to be your call. Either would be beautiful if you ask me. (sorry I''m not much help)
