Eternity Band dilemmma-3.5mm or 4mm? Pics PLEASE!!

Hi Ladies! I have been given the greenlight from my DH to decide on the eternity band that I have dreamt about since we got married. I am looking at a round, shared prong band, but I want a width of at least 3.5mm to 4mm. I have been a long time fan of Jennifer Garners eternity band---it is so pretty!!!!


What is the difference if each stone is 15 points or 20 points? I would really appreciate anyone''s feedback, and if anyone has pics of their lovely eternity bands, please show me!?

(My two choices are between a band with 15 points of each stone, or 20 points....I am leaning towards the 20 pointers, but I have a size 4.5 finger size, so would that be too over bearing. I am also planning on wearing this band with my plain wedding band on my left hand, since I keep banging my pretty engagement ring at work!) HELP!

15 pointer diamonds will be 3.4mm and 20 pointer diamonds will be 3.8mm, which is a very subtle difference. I would hazard that it would be hard to even tell the difference except that the 20 pointers would have more finger presence in general.

I think that in either case that will be a fairly deep/high ring off the finger, be sure to try something like it on to make sure it is compfortable between the fingers!

Thank you for your reply! The jeweller did say that the width would come out to 3.5mm if we do 15 pointers, and 4mm if we do 20 pointers.

I agree, that I would like more finger coverage and presence with the 20 pointers. I have tried on different styles and sizes but I was hoping that I could see a picture, since I am so visual. When I went to one jeweller, she tried to dissuade me from a bigger eternity band, saying it would not be for me----but I insisted on it!

I'd love to see pics too since I have some 12 pointers that I'm thinking of resetting into an eternity bad.

20 pointers would be veeeerry blingy indeed. WTG!!

Thank you Phoenix...the link you provided of the 15 pointers was very helpful! I would like the blingy 20 pointers! It was originally supposed to be my engagement ring, but my DH wanted to choose something more traditional, and I loved it!

Hopefully we will see a band with 20 pointers, too!!!

Oh, and you might want to do a search for threads by KristyDarling. I think she has something like a 20-point band made by Whiteflash, and her finger size might be close to yours.

can you go and try any of them on? I think .25 would be gorgeous but when you start using stones that large in eternity''s they will have to sit up pretty high off your finger and I''m not sure how comfortable it will be sitting in between your fingers.

Yes, you are right mrssalvo---I have been going to jewellery stores and trying on different sizes. The only issue, is that most stores do not carry such extravagant sizes of stones, unless I go the Birks or Tiffany''s.

Also, my DH has convinced me that we should find a cheap cz, and I should wear it around the house, to see if it is realistic for everyday wear.

So far, all of this bling on pricescope, is making me hungry for more!!!!
