For those of you with u-prong style eternity bands do you ever have problems with stones coming lose and falling out?

I''ve had my ring less than a year and this is the second occurrence where I''ve looked down to find a stone missing.

I''m not tough on my ring - I take it off for gardening, off for dishes, off for bike riding. Am I missing something about caring for my ring

?
I''m already paranoid from the 1st instance where I lost a stone -I have nightmares where stones are falling out and I''m trying and failing to catch them

Platinum, white gold or otherwse?
Did the original seller cover the costs?
I ask because this is not something you should expect (stones coming out) nor should you pay a penny for corrective measures.

It''s really tough to say. It could be a workmanship issue, or it could be the way you''re wearing it even though you say you''re not tough on your hands. Even things like clapping can loosen stones.

My wedding band has pave on one side. I''ve had the ring for 5 1/2 years. Didn''t have a stone fall out until last year. My 5 stone U-prong had a stone come loose after only having it for a few months. It happens. After the first stone fell out did you tell the jeweler your concerns?

It is 14k yellow gold.
The jeweler replaced the stone and checked everything the first time a stone fell out which was only a week after I received it. It is after business hours so I won''t have the chance to speak with them until tomorrow.
I do have a concern that the conditions under which the ring was made might have an affect. Briefly, I placed the order over a month before my wedding date and the customer service rep knew and assured me this wouldn''t be a problem. FWIW, I don''t have diamonds, I have tsavorites. However, I originally ordered tourmalines. The tourmalines did not come in and there was a big scramble to substitute in the tsavorites. They had to have it overnight shipped to my destination instead of my home address. I have to say customer service wise they handled it beautifully. So they had very little time to get the ring made (if I understood everything correctly).

You think that might be an issue? Could it be the tsavorites? Could it be the metal? Am I just unlucky?

I have a ring with tsavorites pave and I lost one cause the first owner clean it with ultrasonic. Never never use ultrasonic with pave. If your jeweler use this method to clean your ring it''s dangerous cause the pave stones become loose.

I am sorry to hear that. I hope they fix it for you.
