estimated price for HOF 1.689 J, VSI

I am looking to upgrade my current HOF 1.368 J, VS2 to a HOF 1.689 J, VS1. I am currious for estimated values of these 2 diamonds.

There''s really no way for us to tell you as HOF has their own pricing. It would be best to call a HOF dealer.

Is there a reason for getting a VS1. Last time I was looking at HOF the SI''s were gorgeous and the majority of them eyeclean. You can save money and get more size if you drop in clarity.

The HOF dealer says the "retail" value of the HOF 1.689 J, VS1 is $23,750. He will give me $15,000 for trade in value of my HOF 1.368 J, VS2 and is asking for $6750 to exchange diamonds. I initially traded up 2 years ago from a HOF 1.14 I,SI1 which I paid approx $7500 10 years ago.
