Estimate value for my ring

I have no idea about diamonds so I came here to ask. I have a diamond ring, but I have no idea if it's valuable or just worthless. Here are the pics.

Sorry if the pic is blurry, I took it from my cellphone. If I had to guess it's around 1-2 carats, but I'm not an expert. To give you an idea how big it is, it's about 2/3 of a keyboard.

I'm no expert but here I can give you. It's diamond shaped. There are 2 mini circular shaped diamonds attached on both sides on the ring that you can't see in the pic. I'm sorry because I know nothing about them so I can't give you an exact description.

Based on those pics alone it looks like it could be a CZ... Have you had it tested at all? Is the band stamped with anything?

It could be a $50 simulant all the way to a $20k ring. We could never tell just from a picture. You'll need an independent appraiser and hopefully someone can recommend one in your area. If not, many here have bought from Quest Jewelers, and they may be able to do a basic valuation for you. Where did you get a ring you know nothing about, by the way?

Are you sure it's a diamond? You need a really good appraisal. I recommend contacting Neal Beaty in Denver and sending your ring to him. But make sure it's a diamond at a local jeweler first.
