Hello PS People,
I wish my first post was one of excitement. For the past 5 months I''ve had my heart set on a Kirk Kara from the Carmella collection http://www.kirkkara.com/#section=gallery&productid=6901A-R. When I checked prices back then, the ering in PLAT was just over $6000. Today I was quoted $7385 and $7720. I understand that the prices of PLAT fluctuate, but I still feel like this is quite an inflated price.
Our price range is $10K. I was willing to put a smaller (.9ct) cushion in the ring to get the designer setting. My BF doesn''t feel comfortable going much over our budget - which I understand (I know that I''m much more fortunate than most of my friends in the budget dept.)
Could you all help with similar suggested styles. I''m so exhausted by looking at erings (as it took me 4 months to find the KK that I loved). I''m looking for a modern vintage feel to fit a cushion with a halo. I really like micro-pave and milgrain. I would like for it to be in PLAT.
I''m sorry that I sound whinny, I just don''t have any more time to invest in finding a new ring as I work full time and attend school almost full time as well. Sorry for the rant.
My diamond criteria:
cushion (no crushed ice)
H or better
eye clean
L/W ratio: close to 1 as possible
at least good on cut
1ct or more
