ERD Prices?

Does anyone know the average cost of a custom ring made by Mark T?

His work looks amazing but i''ve also got some very competitive quotes from WF and i''m torn as to who to use (I haven''t heard back from ERD yet). I find the ERD site really hard to use especially when trying to find diamonds within my budget (the scroll function is a nightmare!) but I notice their diamonds are cheaper than WF''s ACA diamonds.

Can anyone shed some light?

ERD''s diamond are not H&A branded cuts like WF''s ACA so you are not comparing apples to apples here.

i think ERD is good but whiteflash not being in NY is defintely better. I had Whiteflash make a ring for me. Quest Jewelers made earrings and they had the best price of anyone for that project. It kind of depends --if its an elaborate highly detailed project then it may be kind of a wash.

Not necessary H&A is better although ACA are very consistent. Just probably not have H&A optical symm patterning. Some can still be great performers, maybe even H&A patterning by luck.

I would request a quote from both vendors and compare. It is usually more cost effective to purchase the stone and setting from the same vendor.

Ask ERD if he carries HA stones and if they come with a Hearts and Arrows Viewer. You will find the prices differ depending on which stones you ask him to source and if he can even get them.

My setting is custom from ERD and I could not be happier with the craftsmanship and the quality of stones used in the melee. Years later, it is still perfect and I have never lost a stone. And I'm a very active girl! We found his price on the custom setting to be very affordable.

I've also been very happy with ID Jewelry in NYC. Yekutiel has amazing prices and quality - he is very very fast and is tops in customer service.
