Does anyone know what era this opal and diamond ring is from?
 
To be it looks rather “Sputnik” so I’m guessing 1960s era. Larger cocktail style rings and opals were quite popular during the 1950s and 1960s.
 
I agree with Bron. It looks very similar to this ring, which is listed as '40s/'50s:

Bought it and love it!! It’s like a starburst halo cluster feel but very open and lacy. I love the open feel.

Actually I looked at the bottom diamond closely and not only is it crooked, it's missing the top of one of the four prongs!! I'm surprised it's even sitting there. I'm glad i noticed it and will get it repaired and straighten it too.
