Enhanced Diamond Stud Earrings?

Hello all:

I''ve been doing some searching on the site about enhanced diamonds in relationship to stud earrings. What information I found has been very helpful in regards to these not being a source to "invest". Now, I wouldn''t dream of buying a diamond ring with an enhanced diamond, but I''d like to get everyone''s take on using them in stud earrings. Would you recommend these as a source for earrings (I''m looking at 1/2 tcw or smaller)? If you own them do you feel they provide the sparkle that a better diamond would provide?

Enhanced is enhanced. In addition, you really shouldn''t consider any jewelry purchase an investment as you''re never going to make money off anything unless you''re buying a globally "significant" diamond, and since you''re talking about enhanced diamonds, I''m assuming price is an issue, yes? Anyway, if you''re looking at .50tctw or less, I think you can find something real and not enhanced if you look around more.

First there are no vendors on PS that support the use of the stones...I don''t think. But just like all stones, the cut is what makes the sparkle. If it were a better than average cut you should be OK. I understand why you are contemplating it. It is the jack you can save. If you were considering buying a 5 carat I may also look into it. But at the size of 1/2 and below...I bet the savings aren''t that great. Are they? And I can see your reasoning... The earrings aren''t going to be subject to harsh treatment or intensity that a stone in a ring may. So I understand why you would think of it. I would rather see you go 6 months longer if you had too...and go natural.

I bet, if you shop hard enough there is a PS vendor that will get pretty close in price with a natural non treated REAL stone. Why don''t you provide the board with your price point and wish list...you will be surprised how hard they will work to help you locate a pair that will naturally sparkle and enhance your ears!!
