Enhanced clarity

How do the members feel about enhanced clarity diamonds? Are they really a bad idea? Or are they bargains? I've heard that enhancement through addition of composites/materials in inclusions will significantly detract from a gem's durability. Is this always true? Some guidance would be appreciated as I am shopping for a stone in the next few weeks... Thanks.

Diamonds are supposed to be 'forever' so we tend not to be happy about CE's.
But if you are going to wear the stone in earrings or pendant then I have no problem.
Always declare what they are if they are being worked on, and do not let jewellers clean them for long periods in ultrasonic cleaners.

I have nothing against laser drilled stones, as long as you know they are harder to sell.
