Engraved halo head??

Hi! I am considering the idea of adding an engraved halo head to my current setting (switching out the 6-prong for the halo head), but I don't want a diamond one. Anyone aware of any place that sells this? I don't want to spend a lot of money by doing a custom halo head.

p.s And yes, I have 2 threads already going (below are the links). I've decided that I want to keep the 2 diamond bands, because I love them and my husband loves them. But, I would like to enhance my center diamond, preferably with an engraved halo head. I know that that is very different than all of the blingyness going on currently. I do think though, if done correctly, it could really add some character and elegance to my set, while also allowing my center diamond to become more of a focal point than it is right now. My original wedding band is engraved and I would like to tie that in to create a wedding set that combines all of the elements that I love.

I think a halo would definitely enhance your diamond! I also think it would look even better since you decided to wear both bands -- it would "even it out," so to speak.

Is there a specific reason that you would prefer an engraved halo instead of one with diamonds? IMO, a diamond halo to match the style of your bands would look best...

Thank you!!!! I really don't want a diamond halo because I really don't want THAT much bling going on! I love the sparkle but I just think a diamond halo with my set would be a little too much.

I might be in the only camp here for this one but with a diamond ering (in the setting) and two matching bands -to add a halo to the mix, with or without diamonds, is just adding to what is already so much going on. If anything I think it would really detract from your set. I would not add it.

I have to agree w/ SB, I think in this case adding a halo to your current setting might confuse the eye regarding where to focus when looking at the set. I wouldn't suggest that you add it either. And although you haven't mentioned cost or budget, I don't know if creating/finding a halo to "swap" with your existing head will be less expensive than just having your diamond re-set into a new halo setting that will work w/ your current bands. If you're not already working w/ a jeweler, it might be helpful for you to contact a few and run these ideas by them to get ballbark estimates before you "fall in love" with one look or the other. That way, the folks here at PS, can then help you narrow down the design elements for your set.

agreed. if i were to do it i would just reset it entirely. Say you went with that jbeg one you could wear it e ring, blingy band, engraved band.... and i think that would look nice....
