Fortunately, there seems to be a plethora of information on the internet to help a consumer select the "right" diamond. What about the other part of the story? Are there any particular settings that bring out the brilliance of a beautiful diamond? Or are there any settings that might make a brilliant diamond look dull? Also, which are the best internet sites to purchase a setting?

Thanks!

Well, white gold or platinum will highlight the whiteness of a high color diamond, while yellow gold will mask the yellow in a lower color. Other than that, the brilliance of a diamond is inherent to the cut of the stone. In the best cut diamond, light shines in through the table and is bounced back completely though the table. That's why even a bezel set ring isn't going to make a difference in a well cut diamond.

Other than that, it's really a matter of personal preference as to the style of ring you want.
