I am really close to pulling the trigger on this stone from GOG.

What about this stone: http://www.goodoldgold.com/diamond.php?d=4443&ctMin=.85&ctMax=.93&clarity=64&color=24&resultsColumns=268435471&singleResult=

It is just about the same size as the .90 GIA I listed because of the better cut and the properties are just stunning. I was a little worried about the flouresence but after some research that will probably actually end up making the G color even a little better. At first I didn''t think that pick on GOG website was the stone cause it looked like a cartoonish image but then I saw all the pics below. This stone comes to a 1 on the HCA tool here on pricescope.

I''m just worried that I won''t be able to find the setting I want. Neatfreak, mentioned above that GOG maybe able to locate the setting I want, but I don''t know if they can meet the price my jeweler has given me. But it looks as though GOG is not open today....ughhh!!

Does anyone know if I put a deposit down on my CC for the stone then decide if I don''t want it if I will get my deposit back? I''ll put the deposit down today to hold the stone and then work with them on the setting.

Any help greatly appreciated!! Oh yeah, and any thoughts on the stone I picked?

t- neck, that is a gorgeous stone you have picked - no worries! Just check with Jon that it is eyeclean to your standards and you should be set!

Thanks!!

I will check with him but I don''t want to lose the stone. Can I put a down payment on it now to hold the stone but still get refunded if it is not eye clean or some other reason? They are not open today and don''t want to miss an opportunity!!

Usually yes you can hold it for 24 hours or so. Try calling them anyway and emailing, sometimes someone is there on a day where they are otherwise not open.

Great job, it''ll be beautiful!

Is GOG DiamXray the same as Idealscope? Is it suppose to be showing the same thing as IS? Any thoughts, comments, or explanations?

Thanks!!

You are totally fine with that stone. Don''t worry!

The stone you picked from GOG is the best choice yet. Don''t worry about getting the setting. Once you you have a beautiful stone to work with the setting will be easy and you may even find something you like more.

Should I be able to request an ASET image from any jeweler? Thanks!!

Just wanted to give everyone an update.

I originally posted (2) stones on here that I thought might be the ones. People commented honestly, and I appreciate that, about their proportions just not being as good as they should be. I then found a stone, which I have linked somewhere in the thread, at GOG. I really thought this would be the one, AGS0. After, speaking with someone up at GOG about that stone they advised against it because it had some clouding. You gotta respect that for a company. I looked at a couple other of their stones and was trying to decided.

I then got a call from the jeweler I had been working with in town about a GIA stone that I needed to see. She was a great person to work with and I really wanted to buy off her. Her first two stones, the ones I listed, I thought were a little high in price. I showed her some comparable pricing and told her I thought they were high. She saw I had been doing a lot of research and knew more than the average buyer. I knew what I wanted and what I thought it should cost. Like all of us, quality at a fair price. Businesses are their to make money and I don't have a problem with that. I just want a fair deal. So she gave me a fair price and showed me the following stone:

GIA
.87 cts
Cut - Excellent
Color - G
Clarity - SI1
Polish - EX
Symmetry - EX
Flour. - Faint (I think it actually improves the G)
Table - 56%
Depth - 62%
Crown Angle - 35
Pavillion Angle - 40.8
Hearts and Arrows (Did not have ideal scope but I could make them out through the loop. Would have no clue what to look for if not for this site)

1.6 on the HCA!!!!!!!

Long story short, I bought that beautiful thing last night. Out of all the stones I have looked at I have never seen one light up so much! I am so excited. I'm so glad I'm going to love this ring as much as her. Never would have thought that I would turn into such a big stone lover during this process.

I really would like to thank anyone who posted in this thread with help and for everyone on PS. I have learned so much and I'm so happy I have found a beautiful stone at a fair price that I absolutely love.

Thanks everyone!! Good luck to all those searching. If it doesn't take your breath away then it isn't the right one. Keep searching!!
