After many failed attempts at taking pictures of our new loose diamond, I finally got some in focus- Phew!

Thank you to the PS Members (your knowledge and great natures were amazing) and Mark (who helped us come in about $600 below our budget)- You all helped pick out the perfect stone for us

.96, G, si1, HCA- .9 (TIC), AGA- 1B, Polish/ Symmetry- Excellent, Fluorescence- faint.

Next project: finding the "perfect setting!"

The photos were tough to get in focus in bright sunlight or night lighting. I woke up the other day to overcast weather and whipped out my camera and set it to macro mode. I was finally able to get some photos that were in focus (probably 30 of them weren't

). Took them in front of my sheer white curtains (hoping to difuse the light) with the cloudy weather outside. Those were the best shots I could get.

It's so nice to have a place to share this excitement- where my stone won't be put down because it is "too small" or "a cute little starter" or (the other end of the spectrum) where my excitement won't be misconstrued as bragging.
