I recently designed and reset a vintage marquise diamond into a three stone as my Ering upgrade. Just wanted to show it off a little bit :)

:kiss2: This is stunning-I especially love the kites! I would love to know the stats on the stones.

Beautiful. I like that it has A deco feel.

It’s beautiful!! The bezel/prong combo can be tricky to pull off but it looks GREAT on your ER! How was it set before?

The marquise looks fantastic with those kites, and in yellow gold too

It looks beautiful with your tiny bezel band <3

I also second luluma and would love to know stats please! Also, was this done / inspired by Azlee? :)

Edgy and unique - looks great! Please tell us more!

Fantastic setting and you wear it well. Congrats!

Thanks all!

The center is a 1.36ct, L color, SI1 (totally eye clean). It faces up white, but definitely has warmth/ivory tones to it, which I love!
The kites are .60 total and G color.

I have never heard of Azlee before! I just looked them up and love their stuff. I worked on this with a local jeweler.

It was in a platinum setting with baguettes, so this is kind of a spin on the original setting…which was totally pretty too, but I think the stone looks so much better in YG!

Totally pretty and a classic but I love your reset. It’s modern AND classic with a little edge! And it really does look great in YG!

One more with the open cuff spacer band, and the tiny bezel band (hadn’t done this combo yet!)

OMG I love this!!! I normally dont like bezel settings but the kite sides bezel set are amazing, I absolutely love everything about it!! I especially love it with the open cuff stack you posted!

Ooh, this SO pretty! It looks like a completely different stone & i love the sharpness of the angular kites in contrast to the rounded edges of the marquise!

Who made the setting for you? It's beautiful!

Absolutely love your take on the three stone setting and the buttery yg.

Super cool! I like the originality.

 Love the variation of angles in the stones and the soft creamy marquise! It's so sleek and compliments those digits of yours really well. It fits split bands perfectly and opens you up to endless stack variations. Very cool.

That's pretty dang amazing, 9 CADs and worth it!

Ooh! I love this reset so much! :kiss2:

Welcome to the marquise lovers club - it’s stunning!

Thanks all!
Another cool detail about the setting that I meant to share, is though the ring is in yellow gold, the underside of the gallery is polished white gold. The stone is pretty spready, so it was windowing in its original setting. Now it doesn’t window at all, and looks much brighter than its L color grade with the reflection of the white gold underside, and the contrast of the yellow gold prongs.

Well, I must have missed this thread when you originally posted...

Really pretty and unique (unique in a good way=)2 )! I really like the bezeled kites and the marquise looks fabulous! Sort
of reminds me of a design that would have been done many centuries ago. Well done!

OMG I LOVE LOVE LOVE your ring!! If i ever did anything 'modern', it would be this - I love it!!
