Engagement ring purchase help!

Hi Everybody!
I've been looking around for a few months online to buy an engagement ring and was hoping for some help?
My budget is under 20k.
I was looking around and was thinking Round >1.5 Carets, VS1 or above, Color >G or maybe F. Best cut I can get.
I'm still not too sure about how to identify a good diamond for the price. Do you have any recommendations?

If i go with Blue Nile - is Signature Ideal worth it?

I was thinking about a small Platinum Pave?

To the general population, does the H&A actually do anything? I would just like a diamond that returns lot of light, is bright and has no coloration - I don't think symmetry is among the top of my concerns?

Inputting your desired parameters, I get 73 results on James Allen. It comes up 19th cheapest when I sort by price, and 11th heaviest when I sort by carat weight.

And I know you said G but if your concerned about clarity, this h would be stunning, and no one wouldn't call it "white"

Those would give you plenty of money for a nice pave plat band

Will Flour show up to the naked eye in any way? (especially in comparison with diamonds in pave)

Also is there a way to get discounts on these vendors? (I read somewhere there's a price scope discount for james allen et al? Is there any discounts for Blue Nile as well?)
