This Is me first post here and I am truly lost on where to go from here. My gf loves this ring from Zales.

http://www.zales.com/product/index.jsp?productId=19130046

I believe this price use to be priced at 2499 which was right in my price range. I would love to get a bridal set with it. I really do not know where to go from here. I have heard bad things about Zales and am looking for any suggestions you may have. Any help would be great. Please help!

I'd also contact Yekutiel at ID Jewelry and tell him your budget and what you're looking for....

Welcome! So sweet of you to start your research here on PS! I think your future fiance will totally appreciate your efforts in getting a beautiful ring!

I have no experience with Zales, but many of these chain brick and mortar jewelry stores will sell with a not so nice center diamond and the associates might not be so knowledgable or helpful.

Many of the vendors mentioned on this forum can help get you something you want in your desired price range. What your girlfriend seems to like is a round diamond with a halo and micro pave shank set in a white gold or platinum setting?

Because the setting you have in mind has many diamonds in it, it might be tricky finding this setting as a wedding set along with a good diamond within your price point. If you are not too sure about the setting, you can devote most or all of your budget towards the biggest and best diamond you can find and get a simple classic setting for several hundred dollars and together with your fiance, work on getting the dream setting for the diamond.

Popular vendors many PS use are :

Engagement rings direct
ID Jewelry
Whiteflash
Brian Gavin Diamonds
James allen

Try browsing the websites of the vendors and if you see something you like, contact them and see what they propose to you. You can return to the forum to get opinions on what they suggest.

many PSers can assist in the search too!

What is your total price point for diamond plus setting?

I would say somewhere in the range on 2500-3000

what size stone were you hoping to get at that budget? also, does she need all the diamonds in the band? I dont know if this is suppose to be a surprise, but if not, i might ask her how she feels about rings about rings with a plain shank and a halo. its cheaper, allows for a bigger stone, and if you pair it with a diamond wedding band its still very blingy.

heres ones someone got for 1500 (.5 ct from IDJewelry all included)

This isn't for everybody, but it is a really nice cut cornered square.

Not as big as a half carat round, but a half carat round for the same price would need to be more like J SI1.
bah! i love that, but I cant find it on the normal JA site

when you search the stock number you get a completely different stone!
