Hello All,

Finally I found an engagement ring that I like but sadly it is so expensive!
Please see below link:

So I started looking for a similar design but more affordable and I found the
following:

From the above two ring, you can tell that I like the ring side to gradually reach the center stone (tapered). My question to you is the following:
1) Are you aware of any drawback from this type of design? (the sides are close in level to the center stone)
2) Is there any other rings that you can recommend that have this style and obviously affordable?

I intend to have no more than 1.5 Carat center diamond
The budget for the ring alone is about $2000

Thanks a lot for your help !

Just took a closer look at these from ID Jewelry and they look tapered too. There aren't side shots available so it's hard to be sure.

Do you know if you want white gold or platinum? These are priced for WG so they'll be more expensive if you want platinum.

White gold is my preference since platinum is too expensive. I like the one from BGD but not sure about the other from ID. More options are welcome : )

Thanks !

The graduated rounds settings are expensive.

I know how you can get what you want-- I'm not sure it will be for 2K but you might get close. But it will take a little work from you or your jeweler. I would call Michael E and see if he will work with you.

Adwar is a casting company. They make that setting style. It's generic and affordable. And then Micheal can finish it, set stones and so on for you. Depending on the stones chosen, that setting could come in at budget.

But that will take either you or him scouring www.adwar.com to find the right setting so that he can get it in for you.

Would you be open to something like this?

You could ask them if they could make it with the graduated side stones going from bigger to smaller down the shank of the ring (from the basket) instead of from smaller to bigger. The sidestones here are micropave instead of channel set but I think this offers a much more delicate look.

Or something like this?: The sidestones here don't appear to be graduated but still it looks like it has the look you like
