Engagement Ring Bling

It looks good! Love the texture. What kind of wedding band were u planning on pairing with it?

Gorgeous! :appl: :appl: :appl:

It's exactly what you wanted! YAY! Congrats!

Very pretty! I love twisty bands (I have one too!) and the split shank is quite lovely :D

I picked up the ring from FedEx this morning. I'm really pleased. As a last bit of "due diligence" I brought the completed ring to Joe Escobar Diamonds in Campbell, CA. I walked in and handed the ring over for an informal evaluation. The only feedback he gave was that the ring matched the cert and that AGS tends to be a tad soft on color. For my purposes, this was fine. He said by G might actually be an H by GIA standards.

Otherwise, he kept pretty quiet which tells me the stone checked out a-ok.

Do u gots time for a photo shoot? Hee her

Yes. More photos coming.

My proposal is Saturday and I've hired a pro photographer for the occasion.

In addition, I'm a decent photographer myself and while I have not shot jewelry to date I believe I'm up to the task. Those will probably also have to wait for the proposal as I don't have a lot of alone time with the ring today or tomorrow.

Very pretty. Congratulations.

Beautiful!! I love the band!

It's gorgeous ddiamond!

What a cool setting ddiamond! That is very unique! Great diamond, too. When is the proposal????

And how is the WB hunt coming along? are you going with a sculpted custom band?

Thanks Enerchi! The setting came about due to the fine folks here on PS. The proposal is Saturday, slopeside at Squaw Valley.

The band hunt has not gone too far. I saw some really nice bands from David Yurman:

Something sculpted to complement the split shank would be cool and definitely a possibility.

the setting is gorgeous~!!

I like the David Yurman site - he's a really funky designer! Love the rope/twist on the inside.

Diamonds on the band? plain? twist as well (or is that too much twist/rope action for one hand?) If it were me, I'd go for a 'v' custom melee that fits in the notch - just for the bling. Downside is that it can't be a stand alone ring - or it can, if she doesn't mind the notch!

Gorgeous! I love this setting! I look forward to hand shots!

Beautiful and unique ring!!

I'm back from my engagement trip and here with my new Fiancee! She said yes.

Here are some of the shots from the proposal.

Thanks again for all your support. So happy!

Congrats!!! Looks GREAT!!!!

I'm really pleased with the photographer. He and I discussed my intention to photograph the ring. I'd like to borrow a special DSLR macro lens to get some really detailed images.

Beautiful! I love twist bands! :appl:
