Hi everyone! My name is Dani and my and the DH have been engaged since Christmas of last year. I picked out my setting (he proposed with only the center stone which was my grandmothers)

I am having trouble finding an engagement ring that matches but I love this one

Eternity Ring

But I am worried about it looking odd with my ring. I plan on wearing them together. Thoughts or advice is much appreciated!

Here is my ring. The edge is a fine milgrain as well, which I am having a hard time finding elsewhere (sorry for the quality, my current camera doesn't have a macro setting)

Welcome!

I wouldn''t do a shared prong with a channel set e-ring, but that''s just my taste...

Your ring is beautiful! I love that setting!

My eye would be thrown off by a band that was a different size than your accent stones, as well as a different setting.

Maybe this one? http://pompeii3.com/site/index.php?p=eternitybands&pp=detail&id=73

It even has a little milgrain on it!

Thanks! My ring has the look of a shared prong within the channel setting so that is why I am having trouble. It is very similar to this tacori eternity, but that is a little out of my price range (more like a lot)

Try taking a pic of your ring looking more dead on to the top view... and hold your hand as far away from the camera as you can and then crop down to it... that way your non macro camera will get at least a clear shot!

Now I am aware of how desperately I need a cleaning.

MrsBold, I would try to stay with the style of your engagement ring which has a channel, is bead set and has milgraining. If this is your official wedding band? I''d definitely go with a reputable vendor like Whiteflash. You can''t go wrong with them, and don''t let the smooth sides of that WF band deter you, they can always add the milgraining for you.

Do you know how big the side stones are in your e-ring mounting? I''d try to stay close to that size too, since you''d like to wear them together and have them look like a set.

That ring from the Pompeii website is a little bit scary. A carat of diamonds for $349.-? Those diamonds are almost certainly I1s and I2s. A carat of well cut H/I color, SI clarity diamonds is going for around $1500.- these days. Pompeii equals scary to me.

I''m particularly doubtful of unknown internet vendors, now more than ever before, because I recently got burned by a little known internet vendor, and their "too good to be true" product and pricing did turn out to be - too good to be true. It''s taking two and a half months to get my money fully refunded, and I was just buying plain palladium bands

I wouldn''t risk an unknown seller with your wedding diamonds. If you give us an idea of your budget, we can all help.

Thanks for the information. I had a feeling it could be too good to be true. Seeing how difficult it would be to match and the fact that I am worried about loose stones (I wear them everyday) I am leaning towards a plain band with milgrain edge.

I wouldn''t worry about losing stones. Many or most of us wear our diamonds every day, either our wedding sets, or our diamond bands, or shared prong bands or stackable bands. If you buy your wedding band from a reputable manufacturer who is known for quality in their workmanship, you really won''t have any worry about losing stones.

If you can tell us how big the diamonds in your e-ring mounting are, we can help you to find some possibilities to choose from.

Much better idea considering the fact that your ring appears to be 3-sided with diamonds? You wouldn''t want diamonds scratching against each other if you get a 3 sided pave band. And those diamonds on the side would likely eat away at the delicate prongs of a shared prong band. Just something to think about!

I didn''t even think about it. Well, since the E-ring is more elaborate I think a plain band would work fine. Saves some money for the honeymoon too!

I was thinking something like this (3mm plain)
Plain Band

Or this (2.5mm milgrain)
Milgrain

I''d go with the milgrained band to coordinate with your e-ring. I had a 2.5mm palladium band for a short time and it was just about the perfect width. Not too thin and not too wide. Just right!
