Engagement Ring Advice

I'm looking for an engagement ring, preferably: G-H, SI1-2, 2.0C, Round. Going to be sitting in a simple pave setting.

Hi all, came across this great resource on advice from a friend. I'm still very new to everything so still trying to understand fully the terms, and what to judge as 'good', etc. I've went to jewelry center in San Francisco a couple times already so I have a general idea of what those stores are asking, seems to be about a 5-10% difference vs what I'm seeing on the pricescope search.

Any general stone recommendations?

I don't see any detrimental leakage.
Although it appears to be eye clean, it may or may not be in real life. Like in the photo, twinning wisps go way when you have the strong reflection of diffused light entering the crown facets. However, they become somewhat obvious when you have backlighting or light entering the pavilion facets from the side.

It is like you see more scratches, cracks, and debris on a window glass during the daytime when the outside is well lit, than during the night time when the inside is well lit.

@rockysalamander thanks for the tips! There's been no discussion at all about the diamonds, it's planned to be a surprise. I've never heard her mention she liked any colored diamonds, cuts or such, so trying to stick with the traditionally accepted qualities.

Is the 'too deep, and bad angle' referencing the HCA ideal numbers? And what causes 'tint from the side', and what exactly does that look like? does it appear just darker if you look at it from a certain angle? Because in the store, I did notice that strange artifact with certain diamonds where it appeared extremely white/sparkly from one side, and almost dark from another.

The whiteflash diamonds you recommends are beautifully cut(!!) as you say. But the color is a bit far from where I was hoping. Same with the BlueNile one. I eventually might have to expand my parameters a bit, based on what I hear/see from you pro's. Which does appear to be the case based on the suggested diamonds you listed.

General Q: is it pretty much a losing bet on trying to find a good TripleEx Round, 2.0 carat, H, SI1-2 in the 12K range or is it a matter of being patient and looking?

@flyingpig thanks! is the only way to figure out the severity of these inclusions to bring it into an actual store to examine? Or would there be different types of images, reports to ask for from the vendors to get a good feel of it before going through the time-consuming back and forth of ordering then returning the diamond.
