engagement ring advice?!

Hey guys I am currently a student and I do not have too much money. I am looking to get an engagement ring with a max budget of $2500. I am pursuing the radiology field so I think my eyes are a bit more sensitive than most people (I have done quite a bit of CT/X-ray reading). I have looked at diamonds and I think I would like an D-F colored diamond with an ideal cut. The G and H diamonds are not as clear to me in person and it bothers me a bit . I was just wondering what you guys suggest I should buy with a $2500 budget. I have been recenty looking at james allen. My gf is not the the type that wants to upgrade the ring at a future date. or start a new thread. since you know your budget and setting style you might start a thread asking people to suggest good stones to help you find the best bang for your buck
