Emerald vs pear ---opinion needed

I replied too late but would echo the others that I like the Emerald on you! Especially if you are planning on wearing the round brilliant wedding band, I like the contrast between the step cut and the round. Can't wait to see the final ring!

Thank you everyone. Yesterday I went into the city and chose the emerald. I think it will be a classic and much more different look than my current rb round stone. I will be able to pick it up soon and will post pics. Very excited for the outcome and just in time for the holiday season. Will try to take better pics with better lighting. The stone truly has great flashes of light.

I just want to update you on my new emerald ring. While I see many beautiful classic emerald with sidestones, I loved the tiny halo look to contrast with the step cut. Here is are some pictures of the ring. I am still getting used to it as I have only been wearing rb for many years.

Thank you all! I am pretty excited to have a new ring to celebrate 2016 that is full of changes in our lives, particularly a new baby. Poshmommy, I have been reading your thread and LOVE the OEC stone you just had custom cut. I have never thought to look at OEC until I see your stone... so I am browsing. This forum is so dangerous but very addicting. But I don't think I can do another purchase in a looong time so just browsing, ... for now
