Emerald Studs

These emerald studs just came into my possession. They belonged to my mother-in- law, who recently passed away.
When she wore these, I always admired them!
It is a nice remembrance of her. She was a classy lady.

I'm realizing now that the camera isn't capturing the true color. They are very vibrant! They look different in various lighting situations.
They are shamrock green with a smidge of blue. The color is comparable to my Muzo emeralds. I cannot really capture the glow with this dumb cell phone!.

They ARE impossible to photograph! They look so nice in person. The color is juicy and glowy, just not in my crappy pics!

Thank you. I told DH that it's an honor to wear her studs! There is an emerald ring, too. The stone is not great, so I chose these studs instead. A granddaughter will get the ring.

She loved jewelry, and had a few good pieces. Emerald was her birthstone. She would be happy that I have them. No one else in the family cares about such things, but I will treasure them.
They measure about 5mm and cut deep, so about .40-.50 each.
