Emerald Idealscope--What should it look like?

Hi,
I am looking at this stone and was wondering what a nice EC idealscope should look like? How is this one? I know ASETs are preferred for fancies, but this vendor doesn''t offer them to the best of my knowledge

Here are the specs
Depth: 68.9%
Table: 58.0%
Polish: Good
Symmetry: Very Good
Girdle: Slightly thick to thick
Culet: None
Fluorescence: None

How do I find the crown height? Is it on the GIA report?

you will have to have them run a sarin or ogi scan to get the crown height.
Ask which facets are responsible for the good polish grade.

Stone from JA?
If so once you have the CH if its over 10% ask to talk to Julianna about the diamond while she is looking at it and tell you about the good polish and an opinion on the stone.
Report back what she says....

sounds good :}
h/vs2 is a sweet spot to balance color/clarity and size/price with an EC.

shimmer, that stone looks gorgeous! I have an EC that was from my moms Ering. It has Good polish also, and honestly, I would have never gussed it. It looks very "polished".

Thank you all, I'm really excited about this, especially after hearing your reactions. I had to trade in my other stone (a round ACA) that was larger so I think I will bezel set this so it doesn't look too much smaller

That is one beautiful EC. Lots of red and the whites/blacks are in the right places. Even the picture looks great. I''m sure the crown height must be good; can''t wait to hear what JA has to report on it.

Me either! This stone spoke to me the moment I saw the picture...I'm so glad it is a good cut, I would have had trouble turning it away if it wasn't

Anyway, I will have the full report on Monday and Julianna will look at the stone and report back

Gypsy, I'm exploring a few ideas, but most likely similar to LTP or a mix between an LTP/James Meyer
