I have found a (1.35 ct) D VVs1 emerald cut diamond through an internet supplier. It is EGL certified. It is 7.16x 5.55 mm, table 70, pavillion depth 55. I was told that it was extraordinary. I was also told that the girgle could be polished to allow the diamond to become FL if we wished (but he was a little nervous about the risk involved to the diamond). If he agrees to do this, is it a good idea. Would polishing the girdle affect the light refraction?
It seems from the brief info that I have that te stne would be classed as a 3A,3B. Is it woth holding out for an international fine trade cut?
The price is 7150 GBP, good?
Will ths be a more square shaped emerald?
Any help would be appreciated
