Emerald cut question

I prefer the look of the square(r) emeralds. When looking at a few, they seem to have a big depth to them that the *regular* emerald cuts. Is this normal? to seem deeper ?

yes they are typically deeper (like asschers, princesses)-- Valeria 101 may have some pix up her sleeve

Hi ... just wondering if someone has access to emerald cut loose stones ... i''m looking to compare the depth of good quality emeralds ... one with a 1:1 ratio and the other with appx 1:25 or 1: 30 ratio.

Any one out there that can help?
