Hello!
I am looking at purchasing a special emerald cut stone for my 20th anniversary. After determining some parameters, I brought one in to look at but it is outside of those. If anyone who is well-versed in emerald cuts would be willing share their thoughts, I would love to hear them. The stone has to go back next week if I decide not to purchase it.
Is the large table a deal-breaker? The shallow depth makes it really large, which is fantastic but I'm worried about the table and probably a shallow crown.
I have videos but they have a logo on them so I'm not sure if I am allowed to upload them on this forum. Does anyone know if I can share them if they are branded?
This is what I brought in:
K VS2
Excellent Polish & Symmetry
Table 71%
Depth 61.3%
Girdle - medium - slightly thick
Cutlet - none
This is what I was looking for:
Excellent for Polish and Symmetry
Table - 54-66%
Depth - 58-67%
Girdle- Thin-Thick
Culet- None
I am looking at a K VS2 to keep the price lower and the size larger.
Any help would be very welcome!
