I got a new band!!!! I thank goodness every day for my long fingers to support lots of bands, but after this I think my fingers are officially maxed out.

Here is the story... We had diamonds left over from the ones used to make my first eternity wedding band (from my husband's mom's wedding band), so my husband surprised me with the go-ahead to make a matching eternity with the left-over diamonds for Christmas. My stack includes my 3mm plain platinum wedding band (I wear this alone 90% of the time because I am a dancer and diamonds aren't always practical), my 1.53 ct. solitaire engagement ring, my 2 platinum round eternities (made from my husband's mom's diamonds, one of which is my other wedding band), and my 18kt gold square-cut eternity, which was a honeymoon/thesis present.

I have included pictures of 2 options for wearing my set:

1. ering with 2 round eternities and plain band on left hand; square-cut eternity with my Cartier trinity ring (1-year anniversary present) on the right hand

2. ering with all bands on left hand; Cartier trinity on right hand.

What do you prefer??? I know I will switch it up depending on my mood, but I am trying to establish a "standard" look :wavey:

First up...left hand of option 1.

Right hand of option 1.

Left hand of option 2. The right hand is pretty self-explanatory... :)

Thanks for looking! The rings are a little grubby in these pics because I have been playing with them for the past 3 days without cleaning them (gasp!).

OK, right off, let me say that I know I'm not going to be any help at all as I adore both looks. I love, love, love, multiple stacked bands. I do love the band with the right hand ring so I might opt for this option.....but then again ?!?!?! see, no help at all. Anyway you choose to wear them, I think they'll look great. :appl:

Your stack never ceases to make me drool! GORGEOUS!!

Girl you know how to rock a stack! That is some pretty impressive coverage there!! All your rings are just gorgeous. But I gotta say, I prefer your original four (eternity, plat band, e-ring, channel set) the most. I vote to keep that as your "look" and then if you still want to wear that beautiful other eternity, slide it on over with your RHR. It's so cool that you can switch it up in so many different ways!

You have the most incredibly slim and graceful hands - lucky thing!

So many lovely options to play around with now... My personal preference is for only 4 rings on the left hand - I think with 5 the solitaire starts to look a little swamped. Beyond that, I think all of the combinations look wonderful!

You have inspired me to play around with my rings, I have two matching eternities as well and I never stack them with the plain band AND ER, must try this out!

ETA: Although the last stack (eternity/plain band/ER/carre/eternity) is definitely growing on me as I stare at it.

Ahhh I never get tired of pictures of your amazing stack!! :lickout: :lickout: :lickout:
I personally prefer option 1, plus I love the square cut band with your cartier ring! Lovely!! :appl:

I like the first picture best and I agree five rings may be too much. You have lovely hands, so jealous.

Lovely pics! I do like the stacking look, but I think that the last few pics just had too many... It's like armor for your finger :cheeky:

Ooooooo.....such gorgeous rings and such nice long fingers!!!   Seriously, you could be a hand model!

Hmmmm..... I think I like the plain band, two round eternities, e-ring on left and the square eternity with trinity ring on right. Have you thought of maybe putting your e-ring with the trinity on the right and all your lovely bands on the left? I don't know how that would look, maybe worth a try. I'll bet you have fun mixing them all up!

If I may ask, which width trinity ring do you have? (I have a thin one (2mm) from rollingring.com, and haven't been wildly impressed with the quality...am pondering getting the real thing as a long term weight loss goal.)

I'm going to gaze again at your pictures

STUNNING LOOK!!! I love them all!!!

I'm afraid that I'm not going to be of any help either, but I do love your stack, no matter how you decide to wear them. I like the idea of two eternties.

Thanks for the compliments and feedback, everyone! Ok...now we have an Option 3...

Boulder, thanks for your input! I love the look of a trinity with a solitaire! My husband is pretty adamant about me keeping my ering on my left hand, though. My trinity ring is about 2.5 mm for each ring. In terms of quality, keep in mind that each band is pretty thin so that they can all roll easily along each other. That may be what you are thinking of in terms of not being impressed with the quality? I imagine the thickness (depth) of the Cartier ring is about the same as rollingrings.com. I haven't seen the rollingrings version in person, but the real Cartier version was thinner than I had assumed it was. Does that help?

lol, Pancake, that is exactly how I feel, too! I keep going back and forth, and I can't decide. 4 rings is definitely a "cleaner" look, but all together is very different and interesting. It is oddly more symmetrical, too, with all 5 rings. My husband keeps saying that "I don't have to decide because I can just wear them however I want depending on the day." I agree with him, but I still want to have a "standard" look, and then switch it up when I feel like being different. I am starting to lean toward option 3 now...that way I keep all platinum on the left hand, and all 18kt gold on the right hand. Oh decisions, decisions... ;))

Option 3!! As in, diamond-plain-plain-diamond.

I *love* all your bands. I just think all of them at once is... too much, even for your perfectly-shaped-for-stacking fingers. In this configuration your engagement diamond shines, I think in the larger stack (at least in the photos) the diamond is lost in all the other details..

I like option #3 too! And maybe option #1 when you feel like mixing it up a bit.

You definitely have the perfect fingers for stacking!

1. I am envious of your long lovely fingers.

2. there is no wrong way to stack

3. I like the five rings BLING-A-LISHOUS

4. I like the trinity ring on its own.

5. CONGRATS!!

I was actually thinking about your rings and I think I would wear the e-ring flanked by the two eternity bands, and your plain band stacked with your square cut stones on the right hand. I don't know that I'd stack anything with the rolling rings. I think they look best all by themselves.

Thanks everyone! I am starting to lean toward option 3, as well. I will say, though, that all 5 rings on one finger looks better in person than it does in the photos. The center stone still seems to pop in real life, but it does get lost in the photos.

I like the 5 myself.

You rockstar a stack like no other, Dearie!
I wish I had that much finger real estate!!! ( I am jelly!)

Oooh, love it  Option 3 is the best one, that's how I would have it, too :wink2:

They look great any which way you wear them. Really jealous of your long fingers. I get muffin top with a 3-stack :(sad

I keep coming back to look at your stack as I truly love it. :cheeky:  :cheeky: Option 3 is a great choice but I also love the look of your 5-band stack. I know that sometimes pictures do not do justice to the look of a stack on the finger but IRL I bet it is absolutely stunning. Enjoy them whichever way you decide to wear them.

Thanks, Farley! Actually, I used to like the simpler options, but now I am rocking the 5 ring option most of the time. I think you are absolutely right that pictures seem to make the center stone get "lost," but that is not the case in real life. I love your stack, too! I have quickly gotten used to the extra bling that I used to think was "too much" :)

GREAT rings, GREAT looks, GREAT HANDS! :appl:

Love all of the options! You can't go wrong....

However, I really like the look of a band with the rolling ring, too!
