EGL vs GIA

I'm about to buy a diamond EGL certified diamond. It's a .90 pt H color VVS1 AGL 000 Tolkowsky cut diamond. I'm picking it up for 4,000 bucks. I've looked and compared this diamond to a bunch of others and it sparkles like you wouldn't believe. What do you think about the cert. and the price?

In my opinion, It all depends on the cut of the diamond. But I do agree, I currently have an EGL H-SI1 diamond and it sparkles more than my friend's GIA H-VS1 diamond!
Go for it! The only difference "people" say about GIA, is that they are a little more tuffer on their ratings.

EGL-USA tends to be a far more reliable cert than EGL.
The market tends to factor in a discount for various certs - so you tend to get what you pay for

If you like the look of the diamond - then go for it.

If you are not an expert on cut then buy an ideal-scope and become one
