I bought a ring a while back on ebay, and have since decided to sell it. Is it fair to assume the EGL price is fairly accurate in it's appraisal? The only thing the card lists is the ct. size, color, and clarity. Should I have it appraised to see what a fair price is, not too mention the specs on the stone, or can I cut 1/3 of the appraised amount off, and still be fair. (Like everyone else, I would like to turn a small profit from it).
AND, on another note, what does a piece of carbon, visual to the naked eye do to the stone?? Is it a total turn off? I think it's a pretty ring, and depending how you hold it, and what type of light your in, you might not even notice it.
