That egg is interesting from a branding point of view.
It was produced when the Faberge brand had been bought by Rayette and, then, by McGregor (which was also the owner of Acquanet ). Like Tiffany under Avon, it was not a period of particularly high quality or innovative design, but of exploration of a name that was highly associated with luxury, available at affordable prices.
However, even today, we automatically jump at the name Faberge and enamel.
