I have a pear diamond on hold at the moment that is 1.5ct and measures approx 9.9 to 6.48 at a ratio of approx 1.53.
My initial plan was to have this ring set without a halo, however am now considering adding a seamless one to the ring.
My concern at this stage is very much the effect that the halo will have on the L/W ratio. The jewler is telling me 1 pointers around the diamond is recommended, however will that make the diamond look stumpy? Should I be ordering a longer out of proportion pear shaped diamond which the halo will then bring into proportion?
