Echo Diamonds?

Hi Guys,

While I (sufferingly)

wait for my e-ring to arrive, i''ve been reading more and more about diamonds. Having picked up a H&A from GOG (Hi Sarah!) and reading about the super ideal cuts (solasfera, eighternity, etc) I was wondering if anyone had run across the Echo diamonds from Robbins Brothers? They run advertisements in Southern california all the time and I originally discounted them because I thought they were no better than the B&M stores in orange county. (might I add that i was generally shocked at the poor quality of the diamonds available..)

I''d be very curious to see how they perform under the normal set of tests that PS readers put the diamonds through. I really liked the solasfera and the eighternity diamonds that i did see.

It is another diamond with extra facets. I was underwhelmed by it. Nothing special about it to make me suffer through dealing with Robbins Bros..

I was wondering the same thing. I found a great a diamond from my friend who is selling it to me for $4k. he got he diamond from RB and its the Echo princess cut. 1ct vs1 color g. is it worth it to get the echo. i got a really great price for the diamond and was wondering should i bite and get it or settle on a regular princess cut.

I''d have to say that you may be still overpaying.
If the diamond comes with a certificate, post all the details here and we can give you a rough idea whether its a good diamond or not.

I haven''t seen these myself, but if it is anything like the diamonds that they sell at the malls, then probably then they are in poorer quality than what you could get from one of the reputable PS vendors.

Really??? man thats not good. I almost saw the same exact one at the store selling for 7k. ok i will get the cert from my friend. what is it that you need to know to determine if its good. im a n00b here so please be kind ;D
