EC with sapphires. E-ring custom design help

Thanks for all the replies. I think I am going to skip the engraved band... that was something she saw, and liked, but not necessary.

An update:
He came back with a quote on the setting everybody (and myself) seems to like, and with his $5600 1.18ct diamond at $6080... haha... $20 less than the cutoff I gave him. HOWEVER, he did say I could not finance it for this price. This is probobly not the place to ask this, but do you think I could just get a personal loan at my bank for this and pay him cash? Never taken out a personal loan before, do they just hand you a check? (maybe there is someone here that has more experiance than me with this).

You probably can. And I don''t mean to step on toes, but I really believe you shouldn''t finance a luxury purchase and most people here would agree...so most of us don''t know a lot about jewelry financing. That''s a pretty big loan to take out for an engagement ring, is there a reason you need/want to go so big and have to finance it? You''ll pay a lot more in the end for the ring financing as I am sure you know...

Another option in case you decide to go with something lower priced...just make sure you know their return policy, I believe it''s short.
